City needs differ and changes from decade to decade. Currently garbage disposal in Bengaluru is a hurricane task. The small players who are contributing for the cleanliness of metro cities like Bengaluru are-- RAG-PICKERS. The one team of (approx 60 members) Rag-Pickers of Bengaluru who have migrated from Kolkata, Delhi regions do their bit to clean the city through their innovative Vehicles aka 'Cycle-Rickshaw'. 

On the Hunt.........

  When talked to few of them who do their daily duty on Hesaraghatta main roads revealed that roughly they earn 400-500 rupees a day. The day starts for them early in the morning at 5 a.m and gets over by afternoon by the time sunlight reaches its peak temperature. While majority of them do their HUNTING on Hesaraghatta main road, few innovative minds explore interior localities like Kirloskar Layout, M.H.R layout where B.B.M.P garbage collection system is yet to get streamlined. Overall B.B.M.P alone cannot ensure cleanliness of the city and these IMMIGRANT teams are also doing their 'squirrel-bit' (ಅಳಿಲು ಸೇವೆ ALILU SEVE) in this task.

Today Bangalore is redefining itself with various types of job opportunities. The same old acquire a degree and go for 9-5 Jobs have made way for different roles. Earlier the Security personnel were hired by Governments, Now there is change in this segment with private security agencies taking over the role of appointing security guards at Banks, ATM, Metro Stations, Schools and many public places. How does the life of these guards look like? Here is an information chunk obtained first hand from a private security guard.

A seasoned security guard whom I came across recently is a personality worth mentioning in this  Blog. Now he is in early 70s, and is leading a life of austerity with his better-half expired and has got his 5 daughters married and only son has  also left him helpless at this old-age. This Guard named Venkateshappa is a 'power-house' of energy who can over-come LOAD-SHEDDING of power that is happening in Bangalore City through his energy .

He is employed right now on contract basis @ Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka school premises on Hesaraghatta road. His lifetime highest salary is 15 K (Thousand) and has even worked for a package of  Forty rupees. he has spent his entire life in career of security guard and has got 5 daughters married! Now his son is reluctant to accommodate him in his home at the same time son-in-laws too look for monetary benefits from him. Naturally he has decided to lead a Lonely-Veteran-Life in a hut by cooking his food and being independent. He recollects his younger days when he used to gulp 5-6  Ragi balls (Millet Balls) in one meal. Right now on this outskirts school premises he not only does security-guard duty, but in spare time does gardening in school premises.

ATM counter, who had tried his hands to be an entrepreneur  by running a fast-food restaurant before settling in this MONTHLY-SALARY of 8K job through security-agency which is a booming service industry in Bengaluru Today. A Day out with Small kids & High school Students

Today, 6 hours or so in school was full of fun for me as a teacher, As I had marathon 5 hours class. My day began with a class to 10th standard children. One student by name Praveen is checking my patience to maximum extent possible by avoiding submission of his activity sheets. I with 'teacher's (false) angry' screamed at him demanding his mother's cell number and uttered, like my teachers used  to do in our school days-- " If you are not interested drop out from school and do some hotch-potch job." But unlike our days' students, he didn't panic, instead murmured quietly "Sir,  ಓದಿ ಉದ್ಧಾರ ಆಗೋಣ ಅಂತ ಇದ್ದೀನಿ ." meaning "sir, I want to become a scholarly person by reading books." I laughed at his words and confidence he has in himself despite not regularly carrying out school chores. This is the experience with the biggest children of school, next experience is worth sharing with you all that is with FIRST standard kids.

I went as alternate teacher for a Music-hour. as I do not know alphabets of  music world, I asked kids to sing songs of their choice! The enthusiasm of kids was overwhelming one boy started with a Kannada movie song of "ಫೋನ್ ಇಲ್ಲ ಮೆಸೇಜ್ ಇಲ್ಲ ನಿಂದು ( Phone illa message illa nindu)..." and went up to "ಅಣ್ಣ ತಮ್ಮ (Anna Tamma).... song of Mrs & Mr. Ramachari."  Next a little girl deviated the flow towards  devotional songs by singing "Vakra Thunda Maha Kaya" as whole class knew this song the whole class stood up to sing this song!!! Next one was by a naughty kid who stood up to sing national anthem! all of a sudden whole class was saluting and singing in chorus Jana Gana Mana.............

 By then I utilized my 15 years of teaching experience to deviate students towards RHYMES (The only songs I also know)! They started in chorus "Jhony Jhony Yes papa Eating sugar...." went on and on to "Twinkle Twinkle Little star" to "Ba Ba Black sheep..." finally I winded up the class with a story of Elephant Crab and Monkey. overall August 20th 2015, was a remarkable one at Vivekananda Vidya Vardhaka Schools, Hesaraghatta Road, Bengaluru.

Friends, Today, my four year daughter DEETYA had MATHS Home work (i.e. to write  numerical 18). I sat with  her to help complete the assignment. She showcased all emotions of Bollywood or Sandalwood movie by the time she could complete the assignment, here is an attempt to share the same with you all.......

Friends, It all started with inaccuracy in her writing compared to her teacher's sample writing. She is hard-core perfectionist at the same time hard-core self-reliant personality at this tender age. So getting the work completed is like dual-edge sword! I can't help her to complete the writing at the same time she wants execute it with picture-perfect execution of Rahul-Dravid's cricketing stroke play.

While the flow of writing is going on smoothly, her attention goes to T.V ads or mood to boast about  her achievements in friends' circle. She requires reassurance every now and then about she is the first in the race of completing the task. Constant pampering at every point telling "You are the Best of the lot in school amongst the crew and your teacher Loves you the most." helped me in getting her hands and pencil move swiftly over the book. 

Bribery & Melodrama for Task

Meanwhile she demands 'Milky-Bar' and 'YouTube' Video rhymes on completion of assignment and continues the task on getting my assurance. Also melodrama of swinging moods of crying, laughing, short story narrations from her end was also part of this Patience-Driven Home work completion. At one juncture I even pampered to 'hyperbolic' extent by condemning her teacher's handwriting as against her stencil work. After all such drama the task could be completed! This made me immediately to take snaps of her Maths-Home work book and write a BLOG to share with you all.

 I had read few days back in leading Kannada Daily Newspaper, that Parents shouldn't be in a hurry to get  the Home work of kids completed, so that they can watch their T.V soap without hindrance. My experience showed me "Getting H.W Done from your kid itself is an Excellent Movie," we should enjoy every bit of it!!!!

A College or school has three ingredients in academic issues viz. Teachers, Students and Parents. These three sides can make a concrete Geometrical shape called 'Strong-School'. The typical characteristics of these three sides is depicted in this blog, read and enjoy!

Side called: Teachers

We Indians in our culture term teachers as 'GURU' the God of Knowledge, In Modern context all teachers aren't Economically Strong and not all youngsters aspire to be in teaching profession. Most of us are in profession by Chance not Choice.

September 5th is celebrated as Teachers' Day in our Nation. Students at School cadre or College cadre do wish teachers on this day and respect from their heart, which has kept people like me to be in the profession for past One and half decades. 

Now let us come to the reality with which teachers are seen by administrators/management gurus of institutions:

Teachers are considered to be unproductive workers as they do not produce Tonnes of products in a factory floor or fix software bugs that immediately get translated in terms of revenue. so teachers are doing Blah... Blah.. for few hours in classroom and spend time in Coffee shop or Snacks shops in their perspective. A Marketing Manager who brings in revenue in form of NEW-ADMISSIONS to your college is PRODUCTIVE-GO-GETTER for many managements than teacher who shape the students' future. Some student population also treat faculty less competent than themselves as every tutorials is available in GOOGLE or Yahoo search engines. Teachers today in higher education are facing challenge of doing research and winning patents and grants to their institute thus indirectly getting revenue! so teaching is secondary role today earning revenue to the institution is primary role, after all today every thing is REVENUE-MODEL not Value-Addition Model.

Side Called: Students 

Students are today Customers for our institutions. Customer delight is what all are speaking about. Students who join a technical education course like Engineering with high aspirations in first year soon starts realizing more than Teacher the campus placement officer who helps them to get recruited to Big Blue-Chip IT Firms or M.N.C is more Valuable resource for them. So, by the time student graduates HR-Campus placement officer is 'GOD' for them. We cannot blame them the REVENUE-MODEL Demands them to be in Job Market by the completion of course. once the student gets placed in a company from campus-interview, he/she is like ANGEL to God.

Side Called: Parents

Parents have wide array of characteristics. Some parents would have entrusted their unrealized DREAMS on their kids shoulders to realize, Others would have toiled day in day out to help their wards to realize their individual goals, Some parents would have admitted kids based on peer and contemporary social pressures. One thing is in common all want to see their Kids come out with flying colors.

friends having said this, recently i was part of a rural-school parent-teacher meeting for the first time in my life time in teacher's role and could realize the efforts our rural and suburb citizens are putting to educate their kids that too in 10th Standard which is considered by many in Indian context as TURNING-POINT of a student's life. Finally I conclude an Equilateral Triangle of Student, Parent and Teacher is the need for an efficient Teaching-Learning process.

School and Sports are two sides of same coin. Our Hesaraghatta Children participated enthusiastically in Cluster level sports held at Vivekananda Vidyavaradhaka High school grounds. 

Kids from 7 Schools in Hesarghatta cluster participated. Amongst which Children of Govt Model Schools, T.B Cross rocked the show in Kabaddi and Kho-Kho, proving the mettle of Govt. schools in DESI-SPORTS. Overall children had best memories to carry with them. Other schools apart from Host Vivekananda schools that took part in tourney are: Jyothi Vidayalaya, National Public Schools, Gnanabharthi School, HSLN School and St. ANN'S School. Pictures captured in my camera are shared here for you all who might be from Bengaluru or Hesaraghatta in particular.

Lalbagh Gardens: Blend of Social Responsibility of Public, Private, Autocracy Sectors

August 15th is remarkable day for we Indians. It is our INDEPENDENCE DAY. As usual this 68th Independence Day also, 'Bengaluru' once upon a time renowned as garden city is showcasing flowers in two of its twin-greenery daughters, Cubbon Park and LalBagh. Our correspondent SA-SU visited LalBagh flower exhibition this weekend to discover what is there in store?! for all Namma-Bengaluru citizens.

SA-SU took entrance from West Gate, had a glimpse of spectacular Lalbagh Lake amidst well spread out greenery of this botanical garden called RED-PARK (LAL-BAGH) in Hindi. This Lake has lot of life in it giving shelter to many birds. According to records available the lake was built in year 1760.

Bangalore Watch: Pedestrian Path Vs Vehicle Path 

Bangalore Authorities have taken few of the streets of city in TenderSURE scheme and beautified them. St. Marks road is already developed in this scheme. Next 44 roads get facelift under this scheme. Modi Hospital road, KempeGowda road are the two streets listed in this scheme. But roads which are not in tender-sure scheme like LalBagh road footpaths are in very bad shape. A sharp contrast exists between maintenance within park and footpath outside this renowned botanical garden. Naturally majority population of 'Namma-Bengaluru' commute today on vehicles and our B.B.M.P authorities are also least bothered about pedestrian-paths called FOOT-PATHS. In future we will fight for inches and centimeters land for Roads and NO-FOOTPATH as the needs of the citizens is changing with all old vehicles getting place in www.OLX.IN and new automobiles are hitting our roads in record number. 

Friends at least the if the next B.B.M.P corporation elected members show commitment and dedication to look after the needs of Bengaluru citizens, our city will have proper pedestrian paths and good roads so that commuting population will not curse any body!?

Countdown for B.B.M.P elections has begun (AUGUST 22nd, 2015).  Bangalore Ex-corporators and corporators-to-be are fighting out tooth and nail for party tickets. All three Political parties ( B.J.P, Cong (I) and J.D (S)) are in the process of releasing list of candidates contesting elections. news from reliable sources is short-listed candidates are asked to pay nominal fees (5 Lakhs rupees to 1 Crore rupees only) as party-fund to obtain B-Form and contest with official party symbol. When our 'Breezy-Bengaluru' special correspondent 'SA-SU' took a beat of Bengaluru localities, he could discover Social Stratification in disposal of Human Uric-acid aka URINE disposal. Here is an exclusive report prepared on his findings.

Friends our correspondent 'SA-SU', first visited most disciplined political party's a.k.a B.J.P H.Q in Kodandaramapura, area. Just diagonally opposite to B.J.P H.Q is Corporation school grounds. Opposite to this grounds is 'SOUCHALAYA' a.k.a B.B.M.P Public toilet. This is a pay & use toilet with accessories bath & toilet-fits stratifying 'AAM-ADMI' class, those who can't afford to get into any of the Malleshwaram restaurants like Kadamba, Shantisagar or Sukh-Sagar to fulfill NATURE's CALL use these kind of toilets. in addition when SA-SU happened to visit Kodandaramapura streets next to B.J.P H.Q, he could observe one more strata of society with FREE-Toilets created by public on corporation playground compounds!

Next, SA-SU visited the locality of CONG-(I) H.Q in Shivajinagar. Though locality has Pay & Use Toilets in neighboring B.M.T.C Bus stand. the deserted looking road leading to CONG H.Q is used by public for URIC-ACID Disposal in night time.

Next visit was to old-office of Janata-Dal-Secular and it's new makeshift office, in race course road. As this posh locality is adjacent to railway parallel road, it is blessing in disguise for many party workers who storm the place during rally to move to railway lines and dispose URIC-ACID! SA-SU also had first hand experience of BIO-Toilets erected at Cubbon-Parks.

In addition to above mentioned toilets SA-SU witnessed Nirmala-Toilets (supported by INFOSYS in their Corporate Social Responsibility funds). Next SA-SU, entered into ISKCON temple and witnessed well maintained URIC-ACID disposal fittings and finally the upmarket Multiplex Mall, P.V.R cinema halls to witness high class URIC-ACID disposal air conditioned outlets. Thus complete Social Stratification from free to use Corporation ground walls to posh multiplex pay & use toilets define the strata of 'Namma-Bengaluru' in waste disposal. ನಿರ್ಮಲ Friendship ಎಂಬ ‘ಸಮಾಜ’ವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಳಕು ಮನಸಿನ ‘Bucket’ ವಾದ

ಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೀರಾ? ನೀರಿನ ರುಚಿ ಏನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬಲ್ಲಿರಾ? ಬೆಂಕಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದೋ? ಒಳ್ಳೆಯೆದೋ? ಎಂದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಬಲ್ಲಿರಾ? ಹೋಗಲಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕರತಂದು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಪರಿಚಯ ಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲಿರಾ? ಉತ್ತರ ಮಬ್ಬು, ಮಬ್ಬು ಅಗಿದ್ದ್ಯಾ? ಹಾಗಂತ  ಇವು ಯಾವುದು ಇಲ್ಲ ಅನ್ನೋಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಇದೆಯಾ? ಇಲ್ವಾ?! ಅದೇ, ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಈ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು intangible (ಅಗೋಚರ) ಸತ್ಯವಿದೆ, ಅಂತಹ ಒಂದು ಸತ್ಯ್ವೇ , ‘ಸಮಾಜವಾದ’ ಉರುಫ್ ‘Socialism’.

‘Socialism’, ಅನ್ನು ದೇಶದ ಅತೃಪ್ತ ಆತ್ಮಗಳೇ ತುಂಬಿರುವ ಪಾರ್ಲಿಮೆಂಟ್, ವಿಧಾನಸಭೆ, ವಿಧಾನಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗಳಲ್ಲೀ ಹುಡುಕಿ ಸುಸ್ತಾಗಿ, ‘Socialism’ ಅನ್ನೋದು ಒಂದು ‘ಪುಂಗೂ’-ಪದ (false). ನನ್ನದು ಎಂತಹ ಅದ್ಭುತವಾದ  ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ,  Eurekha, Eurekha  ಅನ್ನುತ್ತ, ತಮ್ಮ Bath tub ನಿಂದ laptop ಕಡೆಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿದ, ‘ವಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಎರಡು ಅಂಕಣ ಬರೆಯುವ’ ಏಕೈಕ ಸಂಪಾದಕರೊಬ್ಬರ, ಕುರಿತು 24X 7 ಗಳು Breathless ಆಗಿ Breaking-ನ್ಯೂಸ್ ಪ್ರಕಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವದು ಈ ವಾರದ ವಿಶೇಷ .  ‘Breaking- News’, ಎಂಬುದು, pure ಕನ್ನಡ ಪದವೇ, ಅಲ್ವೇ? ಅನ್ನೋದನ್ನ ನಮ್ಮ ‘ಶುದ್ಧ-ಕನ್ನಡ’ ಬಳಗದವರು ಬೇಗ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು?

ಈ ವಿಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ನಂತರ ಬರೋಣ,  ಆದರೆ, ಈ ವಾರ ‘Friendship week’, ನಮ್ಮ ಯುವಜನತೆಗೆ, ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ನೇಹದ ಬೆಸುಗೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಗಟ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ವಾರ. ‘ಸ್ನೇಹ-ಪ್ರೀತಿ’ ಎಂಬ ಭಾವನೆ, ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಅರಿವಿಲ್ಲದಂತೆ, ಸಮಾಜವಾದವನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತಿ-ನೀರೇರದು ಪೋಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಡನೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಇಲ್ಲಿದೆ, ಫ್ರೆಂಡ್ಸ್............         

ಸ್ನೇಹ-ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಮತ್ತು Socialism

ನಮಗೆ ಸ್ಕೂಲ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ‘Human is a Social Being’ ಅಂತ ನಮ್ಮ Social studies ಟೀಚರ್ ಉರು ಹಚ್ಚಿಸಿದ್ದು ನೆನಪಿದೆ ಅಲ್ವೇ? ಅವರು, ಎಂದಾದ್ರೂ ‘Human is a Capitalist’ ಅಂತ by-heart ಮಾಡಿಸ್ಸಿದ್ದು ನೆನಪಿದ್ಯಾ? ಹೀಗಿರುವಾಗ ‘ಸಮಾಜವಾದ’ ಅನ್ನೋದೂ ಪುಂಗು-ಪದ ಅನ್ನೋಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವ ಆಧಾರವಿದೆ?

Socilasim ಅನ್ನು Karl-Marx ಗೆ Restrict ಮಾಡೋದು ಬೇಡ ಗುರುಗಳೇ, ಅದು ನಮ್ಮ ಪುರಾಣ ಕಾಲದಿಂದ ಇಂದಿನ ಕಲಿಯುಗದವರೆಗೂ ಜನರ ಜೀವ-ನಾಡಿಯಾಗಿ ‘ಸ್ನೇಹ-ಪ್ರೀತಿ’ ಎಂಬ ಜೋಡಿ ಪದಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ತನ್ನ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದೆ ಮುಂದೆಯು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿದೆ, ಸಂಶಯ ಬೇಡ ಗುರುಗಳೇ.         

ಸ್ನೇಹಕ್ಕೆ, ಕರ್ಣ-ಸುಯೋಧನ, ಕೃಷ್ಣ-ಕುಚೇಲ, ರಾಮ-ಸುಗ್ರೀವ, ಕೃಷ್ಣ –ಜಂಬೂವಂತ ಎಂಬ ಜೋಡಿ-ಪದಗಳು, ನಮಗೆ ಮಾದರಿ ಅಲ್ವೇ? ಅಂದು ಕೃಷ್ಣ –ಜಾಂಬೂವಂತರ ಸ್ನೇಹ, ಕೃಷ್ಣ-ಜಾಂಬವತಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗೇ ದಾರಿ ತೋರಿತಲ್ವೆ, ಇಂದು ಗವಾಸ್ಕರ್-ವಿಶ್ವನಾಥ್ ಸ್ನೇಹ ಅವರನ್ನು ಭಾವ-ಭಾಮೈದ ಎಂಬ ಭಲೇ ಜೋಡಿ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ವೆ?  ನಾದ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ ಹಂಸಲೇಖ ‘ಲೋಕದ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿ ಕಾರಣ’ ಎಂಬ ಸತ್ಯವನ್ನು Adam-Eve ಎಂಬ ಜೋಡಿ-ಪದದ ಮೂಲಕ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ವೆ? American-Dollar, Dhubai-Dinar, Europe-Euro ಎಂಬ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠ capitalist-ಗುರುತುಗಳಿಂದ ಅಥವಾ ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ RBI-Rupees ಎಂಬ ಬಡಪಾಯಿ capital ನಿಂದ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಅಂತ ಎಲ್ಲಾದ್ರೂ ಉಲ್ಲೇಖವಾಗಿದ್ಯಾ ಗುರುಗಳೇ? ಹೌದು ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ‘ಸ್ನೇಹ-ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ’ ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ನಿಭಾಯಿಸುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ‘ಕ್ಯಾಪಿಟಲ್’ನ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಇದೆ, ಅದು ಎಷ್ಟರ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನೋದರ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀವು ಸಹಜ-ಸ್ನೇಹ-ಜೀವಿಯೋ ಅಥವಾ Fresh ತರಕಾರಿ ಮಾರೋದೂ ನಾನೇ, Digital ವಸ್ತುಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಟ್ರೆಂಡ್ಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಬಿಕ್ರಿ ಆಗಬೇಕು, ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ SBI ನಂತಹ ಸ್ನೇಹ-ಹೃದಯಾದ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಇದ್ದೂ, ನನ್ನದೇ ಒಂದು ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಬೇಕೂ, ನನ್ನದೇ ಆದ Oil ಉದ್ಯಮ ಇರಬೇಕು,  ನನ್ನದೇ Radio ಚಾನಲ್, ನನ್ನದೇ TV ಚಾನೆಲ್, ನನ್ನ್ದೆ 4ಜಿ Mobile….  ..............ಎಲ್ಲವೂ  ನನ್ನವೇ, ಜೊತೆಗೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡ್ರು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಇರಲು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಬಹುಮಹಡಿ ಕಟ್ಟಡ್ವೇ ಬೇಕೂ! ಇದು ‘Capitalism’ ನಲ್ಲಿನ ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥದ ಕಹಿ ಸತ್ಯ. ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಪತ್ನಿಯ ಒಡವೆ ಎಂಬ ‘capital’ ಬಳಸಿ ಸಹೃದಯ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರ ಜೊತೆ ತನ್ನ ಕನಸು ಹಂಚಿ ಕೊಂಡು ದೇಶದ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಮಾಲೀಕನ capital ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕನ ಹಕ್ಕು ಇದೆ’ ಎಂದು (ESOP) ಮೂಲಕ ತೋರಿದ ನಮ್ಮ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗ INFOSYS ನಾರಾಯಣಮೂರ್ತಿ, ನಿಜವಾದ ಉದ್ಯಮಿ, ಅವರು ದುಡ್ಡು ಇದ್ದ ಕಡೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಂಗಡಿ ತೆರಯುವ ಚಿಲ್ಲರೆ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿ ಅಲ್ಲಾ. ತಾವು ನಿಪುಣತೆ ಸಾಧಿಸಿರುವ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಉದ್ಯಮವನ್ನು-ಮತ್ತು ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸೀಮಿತ ಗೊಳಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದು ನಿಜವಾದ ‘Capitalism’ ಒಳಗಿನ ‘Socialism’ ಪ್ರಿಯ ಸಂಪಾದಕರೆ.  ಇಂದು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಕರಣವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಕೂಗು ಇರುವಾಗ, ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಬಹುತೇಕ ಇಂಜಿನೀರಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಗಳು capitalistಗಳ ಕಪಿಮುಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಧಿತವಾಗಿರುವಾಗ, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಹೊರವಲಯದ, ದೊಡ್ಡಬಳ್ಳಾಪುರ ರಸ್ತೆಯ, ರಾಜನೂಕುಂಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಮಿತ್ರರು, ತಮ್ಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿನ ದುಡಿಮೆಯ Capital ನಿಂದ ‘ಕೆರೆಯ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕೆರೆಗೆ ಚೆಲ್ಲುವ’ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿರುವ ‘Shri. Sai Vidya Institute of Technology’, ಎಂಬ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕ ಮಿತ್ರರ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ, ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯು, Socialismನ ಧ್ಯೋತಕ. ಅದೇ, ಆ ವಿದ್ಯಾಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಮಾರ್ಗದ ಉದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ, ರಾರಾಜಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಜನಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿ ಒಬ್ಬರ (ಅದೂ,simplicity ಬೋಧನೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಮಂತ್ರಿ ಯವರ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿ!) ಜನ್ಮ-ದಿನದ ಶುಭಾಶಯ ಕೋರುವ Flex-ಬ್ಯಾನರ್ ಗಳು, ನಮ್ಮ  ಹಾಲಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಮಂತ್ರಿ ಯವರಿಗೆ, ಮಾಜಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ Dr. ಮನಮೋಹನ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ರವರಿಗಿಂತ ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹಿಡಿತ ಇದೆಯಾ? ಅನ್ನೋ ಮಿಲಿಯನ್ ಡಾಲರ್ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯ ಬ್ಯಾನರನ್ನು ಕಣ್ಣ ಮುಂದೆ ತರುತ್ತದೆ.

ನನ್ನ ಕಳೆದ ಒಂದು ವಾರದ ಅನುಭವದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ, ಹೇಳಬೇಕಂದ್ರೆ, ‘Socialism’ ನಮ್ಮ ನಡುವೆ ಹಾಸುಹೊಕ್ಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾರ್-pooling ಮಾಡಲು ನಾನು ಹೋಗುವ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಯಾವ ಸಹೊದ್ಯೋಗಿಯು ಇಲ್ಲವಾದ ಕಾರಣ, ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಕಾರ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಟೆ, ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ  ಒಬ್ಬ ಶಾಲಾ ಬಾಲಕ Drop ಕೇಳಿದ, ಸರಿ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾ ಅವನ ಜೊತೆ ಪಯಣ  ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಿದೆ, of course FM radio ದಲ್ಲಿನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರ ಜೊತೆ default ಆಗಿ ಇದ್ದೇ ಇರುತ್ತೆ ಅನ್ನಿ. ಮನದಲ್ಲಿ, ಇದರಿಂದ, ‘ಒಬ್ಬನ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು-ಚಕ್ರ ವಾಹನದ Petrol ವ್ಯಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಿನಿ’ ಎಂಬ ಭಾವನೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಮ್ಮಿ ಆಯಿತು. ನಾನು ನಿಜವಾದ Socialist ಅಂತ ನನ್ನ ಮನಸು ಬೀಗ ತೊಡಗಿತು. ದಾರಿ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ  ವಯೋವೃದ್ಧ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಒಬ್ಬರು ಕುಂಕುಮ-ವಿಭೂತಿ ಧರಿಸಿ, ಸಹಾಯ ಬೇಡುತಿದ್ದರು, ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದ್ದ Ford-Ikon ಕಾರಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರ ಬಂದ ಕೈ ಒಂದು ೧೦ ರೂಪಾಯಿ ನೋಟನ್ನು ಆ ವೃದ್ಧ-ಜೀವಿಯ ಕೈಗೆ ನೀಡಿತು, ನಾನು ಸಹ ೨ ರೂಪಾಯಿ (ನನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿ-ಅನುಸಾರ) ಅವರ ಕೈಗೆ ಇಟ್ಟೆ. Socialism ನ ಬೇರು ಮತ್ತು ಮರಗಳು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಇವೆ ಅನ್ನೋದು ಖಾತ್ರಿ ಆಯಿತು. ಕಳೆದ ವಾರದಲ್ಲಿ  ಒಬ್ಬ West-ಬೆಂಗಾಲ್ ನ ಸೆಕ್ಯೂರಿಟೀ –manager, ಮೂರು ನೇಪಾಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ, ನನ್ನ ಬೈಕ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಡ್ರಾಪ್ ನೀಡಿದ ತೃಪ್ತಿ ನನಗೆ ಇದೆ. ಖ್ಯಾತ, ವಿಮರ್ಶಕ ಡಿ.ಆರ್ . ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ರವರ ಕುರಿತ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ‘ಇಂತಿ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರಗಳು’, ಓದುವಾಗ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಒಂದು interesting ಸಂಗತಿ, ಡಿ.ಆರ್ . ನಾಗರಾಜ್ ರವರು ತಮ್ಮ careerನ ಆರಂಭದ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಪ್ರಜಾವಾಣಿ’ಯ Socialist ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಕರಾದ ಸಂಪಾದಕರು, ತಮ್ಮ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ದುಬಾರಿ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು  ನೀಡಿ ತಮಗೆ  ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡಿದರು ಎಂಬ ವಿಚಾರ ಓದಿದಾಗ,  ನನಗೆ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು Socialist ಗಳು ಆಚರಣೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಸಮಾಜಮುಖಿ ಯಾಗಿ ಇರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅನ್ನೋ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟತೆ ದೊರಕಿತು.                  

ಇದು, friendship-week, ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ಕ್ಯಾಂಪಸ್ನಲ್ಲಿ Yellow Roses ತಮ್ಮ ಆಧಿಪತ್ಯ ಸಾಧಿಸುವ ವಾರ. ನಾನು Friendshipನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಯಾಮ ಬಲ್ಲ ಮಹಾನ್ ‘ಸ್ನೇಹ-ಗುರು’ ಎಂಬ ಅಹಂ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ದಿನದಿಂದ ಮನೆ ಮಾಡಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ನನ್ನ Friendship ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನ pre-globalization ಕಾಲದ, ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಮಟ್ಟಿನ outdated ಜ್ಞಾನ, ಅಂತ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಹೊಸ ತಲೆಮಾರಿನ ಸಿಂಪಲ್-ಸುನಿ ಎಂಬ Director ನೀಡಿರುವ ‘ಬಹುಪರಾಕ’ ಎಂಬ ಸಿನೆಮಾ ತೋರಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಒಬ್ಬ ಹುಡಗ-ಹುಡುಗಿ, ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಾಗಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಇರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವರು ಬಹಳ ನಿಕಟವಾದ ವರ್ತನೆ ತೋರುತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಂದರೆ ಅವರು ‘Love-ಬರ್ಡ್ಸ್’, ಆಗಿರಲೇಬೇಕು. ಇದು ನನ್ನ ಕಾಲದ College ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿ. ಆದರೆ, ಸುನಿ ತಮ್ಮ, ಸಿನೆಮಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದಿನ generation ಸ್ನೇಹ-ಪ್ರೀತಿ ನೋಡೋ ಬಗೆಯನ್ನು ಬಹಳ ಮನೋಜ್ಞವಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಬಾರಿಯ friendship day,  ನನಗೆ ಹೊಸ Work-place ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ , ಹೊಸ ಫ್ರೆಂಡ್ಸ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದೆ, ಪುನೀತ್ ರಾಜ್ಕುಮಾರ್, ಈಗ ನನ್ನ FB ಸಹಪಾಠಿ, ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ರೇಡಿಯೊ Jockey ಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಜೊತೆ ಮೌನ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆ ನೆಡೆಸುವ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಕಾಲೇಜ್ ನಲ್ಲಿನ, ಅನೇಕ ಸ್ಟೂಡೆಂಟ್ಸ್ ಇಂದು ನನ್ನ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು. ಇವರೊಡನೆ ನನ್ನ Old is Gold ಎಂಬ buddy ಗಳು ಸದಾ ಇದ್ದೇ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.  ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಎಷ್ಟು ‘ಪೇಪರ್-Capital’  ಸಂಪಾದನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ವಿ, ಅನ್ನುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕೆ  ಎದೆ ಒಡ್ಡಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಬಲ್ಲ ‘Human-capital’ ಸಂಪಾದನೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀವಿ ಅನ್ನೋದು ನನಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯ.   ಇದೆ  ನನ್ನ  ಪ್ರಕಾರ ‘Socialism’ ಮತ್ತು ಇದು ಶಾಶ್ವತ ಸಹ.
