ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಈ ಬಾರಿ ೪೦ (forty degree temperature ) ಅನುಭವಿಸಿ , ಚೆನ್ನೈ ಗೆ ಕಾಂಪಿಟಿಷನ್ ನೀಡಿದ್ದು ಸುಳ್ಳಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ರೆ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳಿಂದ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಭರಣಿ ಮಳೆ ಬಂದು ಜೀವ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ತಂಪು ಮಾಡಿದೆ.

Teenage Biking on a Rainy Day @ Bangalore
Teenage is meant for Bike-Rides to outskirts of cities or countryside. I was part of a team that used to celebrate Birthdays in Bengaluru outskirt 'DHABBAS'. 20 odd members after having a birthday bash of a pal were about to get back to home. Myself being a proud-owner of SUZUKI-SAMURAI- 'The No problem Bike' of those days! was having two pillion riders and rain-god started showering blessings to all of us! Myself in no mood to stop the ride and being also a 'Short-sighted EYES Owner', continued the ride and literally had to collide to footpath @ Junction separating Road leading to Rajajinagar and one more leading to Yeshwantpur near Yeshwantpur Railway stations Bangalore. Luckily The Eye-sight wasn't that bad without spectacles I could somehow manage to escape the mishap!

Coastal Rain Lash in Udupi, Karnataka
I had not witnessed Coastal Indian Rain first hand as resident until I started working at Manipal, Udupi. I had given my four-wheeler for service and a colleague of mine had taken me on his two-wheeler to the Service-Station for delivery of my vehicle..... On the way we were caught in such a heavy rains I cannot forget even today. In between I have witnessed such rains at Kapu Beach in Udupi District Karnataka and Surtakal Beach Mangaluru, Karnataka. Even in rains I used to go for jogging to End-Point of Manipal, a Scenic beauty which was my sole companion in my bad days.

The most remarkable rains I got drenched was when I had to take up an Interview at Manipal Institute of Technology for a faculty position which anyway became a mirage for me! Finally I learnt why Rain-sheets and umbrella are best companions for Coastal people of Karnataka, when I had to do two months up and down from Udupi to Mangaluru!
Rainy Drive from Madhugiri Monolithic Hills, Tumkuru
It was heavy rain lashing day I was in Madhugiri-Tumkur state highway, The rain god showered to such an extent that my vehicle battery went for a toss! I had to park my vehicle which abruptly stopped without responding to it's ignition key stroke and came to 'HALT' on the road. The heavy rains made me to spend entire night within the cab on roadside until dawn of next day. Rains make Duet-Scenes in Bollywood and sandal wood movies, but for a common man struck outside their own territory, Rain teaches various lessons apart from Romantic-Mood, Hope you all agree with me....
